Bouldering Mats

Bouldering mats, also known as crash pads, are an essential piece of equipment for outdoor bouldering, helping provide a protective landing surface when climbing without ropes. Whether you're new to bouldering, regularly visiting outdoor problems or looking to add another pad to your existing setup, choosing the right crash pad can make a significant difference to your climbing experience.

At The Climbers Shop, you'll find bouldering mats in a range of sizes, thicknesses and designs from leading climbing brands. Different foam constructions and folding systems offer varying levels of cushioning, portability and coverage, allowing you to choose a pad that suits the type of bouldering you enjoy.

When choosing a bouldering mat, consider its size, thickness, weight, folding design and how easy it is to carry between problems. Larger pads can provide greater landing coverage, while compact designs are easier to transport when you're moving between multiple boulders.
