Returns and Refunds

Online Returns Information:

  • In the event that your purchase is not suitable, for whatever reason, you have the right to return it to us.
  • Goods should be returned in new condition, unused, and with their original undamaged packaging.
  • We aim to process all returns within 72 hours. This may take slightly longer at busy times of the year. We will e-mail you once your return has been processed.
  • Any items returned will be refunded unless faulty or shipped in error.
  • If you wish to exchange an item for any reason, please place a new order for the items that you want.
  • Please note that it is your responsibility to pay for the return postage costs, no postage costs are refundable.
  • Goods may be returned for a refund within 30 days of receipt.
  • You do not need to contact us to notify us of your return unless the item is faulty or is outside of our 30-day policy.
  • Goods must be packaged securely to ensure they are not damaged in transit. The responsibility and liability of the goods remain with you until we are in receipt of the goods.
  • For health and safety reasons face masks cannot be returned for an exchange or refund.
  • Climbing & PPE Safety Equipment can only be returned on very strict conditions. Everything must be exactly as it was received, with packaging and labelling intact. If there is any sign or possibility that the goods have been used or contaminated then we regret that we are unable to accept a return on the grounds of consumer safety.
  • In the unlikely event that your purchase develops a fault, for whatever reason, then please contact us first either by telephone or email for further instructions. In the majority of cases, any faulty goods will have to be returned to us and then forwarded on to their respective suppliers for inspection. Please be aware that this process may take several weeks in some cases. Any postage costs paid will be refunded by THE CLIMBERS SHOP if a product is deemed as faulty and still under a manufacturer's warranty.

Your extremities are VERY delicate so keeping them warm is and protected from the elements is very important. When you are cold, your body protects itself by pulling blood away from your extremities to your core (body and head/brain) for protection. This makes for cold hands and a lack of dexterity which is at best frustrating when it comes to clipping rucksack buckles but if you are in colder temperatures then things can turn very serious.

Top tips to make the right choice:

Try them on!

Make sure you can both remove and put the gloves on your opposite hand while wearing them and check to see if they fit under or over your jacket cuffs. Don’t forget to think about layers if you are going somewhere cold or suffer from bad circulation and make sure each layer fits to allow for insulation to loft without feeling tight or crushed.

Don’t forget to check you have brought the right size for your hands and fingers. The best way to do this is…..try them on.

    Having used different makes and style of gloves and mitts over the uears, I could never find a satisfactory pair that was dexterious enough for controlling camera for photography and keeping your fingers warm in the cold. Was recommended to try this style of glove. I have now finally found my perfect pair of gloves for photography. I have them paired with a thin liner glove, in colder conditions, so my skin is not in direct contact with cold surfaces. And when I am waiting for the light or walking to my destination I have the gloves converted to mitts and keeps my fingers nice and toasty. I have been using the ladies version for 2 years now. I was so impressed I purchased a pair for my husband as he is also into photography and had the same issues. The leather palm is soft and pliable and very comfortable when holding the camera. Providing excellent grip. They are windproof and shower resistent. The magnet is better for me as opposed to velcro for holding the mitt back as would disturb wildlife. They are excellent quality as you would expect from Mountain Equipment. Would highly recommend.
