For those looking for travelling solo and light, the Macpac Sololight is a lightweight, one person backpacking tent that uses a simple single pole design, and can be pitched with either just the inner or just the fly is you wish.
The Sololight weighs in at just 1.29 kg and features the extensive use of mesh on inner tent for better comfort in warmer climates, as well a greater breathability. Two small struts help maximise liveable space inside the tent, and increase rigidity without adding excessive weight.
The factory seam-sealed fly is constructed with UV20™ PE fabric, a quality material that strikes the balance between weight and performance. Coated with silicone on the outside to repel moisture and PE on the inside for waterproofness, UV20™ PE offers the weather protection you need during the summer. A generous vestibule provides space for cooking and gear. Macpac have incorporated the Multi-Pitch™ system, allowing you to pitch the fly independent of the inner so that the inner stays dry when packing up in wet conditions. The DAC Featherlite NSL™ poles are green anodised, minimising the use of toxic chemicals during the production process, while also providing strength and stability.
