The Mountain Equipment Saltoro Men's Jacket is a lightweight, durable GORE-TEX waterproof jacket designed for hiking, trekking and backpacking in changeable mountain conditions. Combining dependable waterproof protection with breathability and a practical, packable design, it is an excellent all-round shell for year-round mountain use.
Constructed from 3-layer 75 Denier GORE-TEX with an ePE membrane and a 100% recycled polyester face fabric, the Saltoro provides reliable protection from heavy rain and strong winds while remaining comfortable during active use. Its Alpine Fit and articulated sleeves provide excellent freedom of movement, while leaving enough room for additional layers in colder conditions.
The fully adjustable Mountain Hood provides reliable protection from driving rain, with a laminated and wired visor helping maintain visibility in strong winds or when wearing glasses. Underarm YKK® WR side zips provide additional ventilation during steep ascents or periods of high exertion.
Two large zipped hand pockets are positioned for easy access while wearing a rucksack, while waterproof pocket bags help protect essential items. The 2-way AquaGuard® centre-front zip, adjustable cuffs and dual-tether hem drawcords allow the jacket to be securely adjusted when the weather deteriorates.
