The Black Diamond Spot DFR Headlamp is a compact, versatile rechargeable headtorch designed for everything from evening trail runs and mountain walks to climbing trips and nights at camp. With a powerful maximum output advertised at 450 lumens, it combines distance and proximity lighting with multiple colour modes, giving you flexible illumination for a wide range of outdoor activities.
The Spot DFR uses a dual-lens design with flood and spot lighting. The spot beam provides focused illumination for navigating trails and technical terrain, while the flood beam offers broader peripheral light for close-range tasks such as sorting climbing gear, cooking or reading in camp.
A choice of red, green and blue lighting provides additional versatility, with the red LED helping preserve night vision. Adjustable brightness and strobe modes allow you to adapt the light to changing conditions, while Mode Memory lets you switch the headlamp on at your preferred brightness.
The Spot DFR is Dual-Fuel capable, giving you the choice of using the included rechargeable BD 1500 lithium-ion battery or three AAA batteries. The integrated battery meter makes it easier to monitor remaining power, while USB-C charging provides a convenient way to recharge the supplied battery.
Designed for challenging outdoor conditions, the headlamp has an IPX7 waterproof rating and is tested to operate when submerged in up to 1 metre of water for 30 minutes. At just 70g, it's light enough to carry as part of your essential mountain kit without adding unnecessary weight.
