Mammut Pulse Barryvox Avalanche Transceiver Description

  • Season : AW14
  • Code : 4000369

  • The Pulse Barryvox is an advanced avalanche rescue sensor that allows the rescuer to locate multiple buried casualties simultaneously. It also acts a a locating beacon if you are unlucky enough to be caught in an avalanche yourself.

It gives a clear 360o map view of casualty locations and can monitor heartbeats, allowing you to prioritise rescue efforts.  The Pulse Barryvox gives you the best chance of locating and rescuing avalanche victims inside the magic 20 minute window, after which survival rates drop significantly.

The Pulse is equipped with 3 antennas, giving you very precise signal acquisition and feedback as to the distance, depth and direction of casualties. In the Digital mode the Pulse has a search range of up to 50 metres.  Switch to analog mode when the signal is more difficult to locate as this provides a search range of up to 60 metres.
