The Volt Alpiniste Jacket is a technical fleece hoody designed for layering or to be worn as an outer in milder conditions. Superbly warm and breathable, this jacket is ideal for cold weather climbing and mountaineering.
Fleece is still king when it comes to breathability and warm, and the Montane Volt Alpinist uses POLARTEC® Thermal Pro® Honeycomb which is super hard wearing, very warm for its weight, quick drying and offers a degree of wind resistance. This heavier weight fleece is zoned with POLARTEC® 100 Series to ensure unrestricted freedom of movement and comfort.
The fully featured adjustable hood has a wired peak and is designed to fit under a helmet. Large venting pockets are configured so they aren't obstructed by your pack straps or by a climbing harness.
Technical tailoring in the arms and side panels eliminates hem lift; essential for stretching between holds on the wall or when reaching with trekking poles. A fully adjustable hood with a wired peak allows the Volt Alpiniste to be layered in cold weather clothing systems and makes this an ideal piece for use the mountains.
