Great weekend weather in store

The weather this morning in Ambleside is fantastic, if a little chilly.

Ambleside weather, 26 Sept

With high pressure moving in across the country this weekend, the Lake district is expecting a much more settled, dry and bright spell than recently.  Today is looking to be dry, bright and reasonably warm.  Sunday may be a little more cloudy, but will still be dry.  As there hasn't been a lot of rain through this week, climbing conditions are excellent this weekend.

Best of luck to two members of our staff who are running this weekend. Mark Barnes is competing in the Hardmoors110 Ultra marathon and Bryan Wakely who is taking part in this weekends Rab Mountain Marathon

Incidentally nights are now longer than days, so we must be officially in autumn.
