The Mountain Equipment Shelterstone Men's Jacket is a warm, durable and highly versatile synthetic insulated jacket designed for climbing, mountaineering and cold-weather adventures. Combining a windproof and highly water-resistant DRILITE® LOFT outer with resilient POLARLOFT® synthetic insulation, it provides dependable warmth and protection when conditions turn cold, wet and challenging.
The Shelterstone is particularly well suited to winter climbing and mountaineering, where its synthetic insulation continues to perform even when damp. Unlike down, POLARLOFT® insulation retains its loft in wet conditions and can be repeatedly compressed into a rucksack without losing its insulating performance.
The 40D DRILITE® LOFT outer fabric offers excellent protection from wind, snow and light precipitation while remaining breathable and quick-drying. The men's Mountain Insulated fit provides room to wear the jacket over other layers, making it ideal as a warm belay jacket or protective outer layer.
An adjustable, helmet-compatible Mountain HC Hood provides additional protection in exposed conditions, while the articulated sleeves allow unrestricted movement. With generous storage and a compact stuff sack included, the Shelterstone is dependable insulation for demanding mountain days.
