The Mountain Equipment Oreus Hooded Men's Jacket is a lightweight, versatile synthetic insulated jacket designed to deliver exceptional warmth without unnecessary weight or bulk. At the heart of the Oreus is Aetherm™ Precision Insulation, Mountain Equipment's advanced synthetic insulation technology. Made using recycled synthetic fibres and a reflective internal layer, it provides an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio while remaining breathable, quick-drying and highly packable. This makes the Oreus particularly useful when conditions are changeable or when reliable insulation is needed in damp environments.
The lightweight PLASMA™ 10D fabric is used for both the inner and outer construction. It is exceptionally light and breathable, with a PFAS-free durable water-repellent finish that helps protect against light moisture while allowing excess heat and vapour to escape.
The Oreus is highly versatile and can be worn as an outer layer, a warm mid-layer or as a lightweight belay jacket over other clothing. Its regular fit provides freedom of movement, while the adjustable, helmet-compatible hood and articulated sleeves make it well suited to technical mountain activities.
