The Rab Women’s Microlight Down Vest is a lightweight, packable insulated layer designed to provide dependable core warmth without restricting movement. The vest uses 700FP recycled down with a Grangers hydrophobic finish, providing 80g of down insulation in a UK size 10. Body-mapped baffles position larger micro baffles across the front and back for efficient warmth, while smaller nano baffles at the sides improve mobility and reduce bulk. This makes the Microlight particularly effective as a flexible midlayer or outer layer in cooler conditions.
A 30D Pertex® Quantum with NetPlus® outer provides a soft, lightweight and windproof barrier, while the fluorocarbon-free DWR finish offers additional protection against light moisture. The NetPlus® fabric uses yarn made from fully traceable post-consumer recycled fishing nets, adding a considered approach to the vest's construction.
The regular women's fit provides comfortable room for layering, while the sleeveless design allows excellent freedom of movement through the arms. An insulated centre-front zip and drawcord-adjustable hem help retain warmth, while two zipped hand pockets provide secure storage for essentials.
One of the vest's hand pockets also doubles as an integrated storage pocket with a loop for clipping it to a harness, making it particularly practical for climbing and mountain activities.
