The Rab Men’s Microlight Down Vest is a lightweight, packable insulated layer designed to deliver dependable core warmth without restricting movement. A versatile addition to any mountain kit, it is ideal for hillwalking, climbing, crag days and everyday outdoor use when you need extra insulation without the bulk of a full jacket.
The vest uses 700FP recycled down with a Grangers hydrophobic finish, providing 111g of down insulation in a size medium. Rab's body-mapped baffle construction places larger micro baffles across the front and back for efficient heat retention, while smaller nano baffles at the sides improve mobility. This creates a useful balance of warmth, low weight and freedom of movement.
A 30D Pertex® Quantum with NetPlus® outer provides a lightweight, windproof and breathable barrier. The fabric uses yarn made from fully traceable post-consumer recycled fishing nets and has a fluorocarbon-free durable water-repellent treatment. Its soft feel and packable construction make the Microlight easy to wear as an outer layer or over a baselayer and fleece when temperatures drop.
The regular fit provides comfortable room for layering, while the sleeveless design leaves your arms unrestricted for climbing, scrambling and other active pursuits. Two zipped hand pockets and a chest pocket offer secure storage, while one hand pocket doubles as an integrated storage pocket with a loop for attaching the vest to a harness.
An insulated YKK® centre-front zip, drawcord-adjustable hem and lightweight construction help retain warmth when you're exposed to cold winds. Weighing just 298g in a size medium, the Microlight Down Vest packs easily into your rucksack and is ready whenever you need an extra layer.
