The cold spell looks set to continue throughout most of the new week, but with just a hint of
milder Atlantic air spreading at least into the west during Thursday, with the risk of snow
mainly in western areas. At present confidence is low in this solution, with the cold block
potentially continuing towards the weekend. Further snow showers are expected across
most mountain areas until Wednesday, perhaps with longer spells of snow in some areas,
with the east most at risk.
