Salomon Staff Training 2011

Yesterday evening a load of our staff members went on a Salomon Training walk to try out the latest Salomon footwear with Salomon’s Northern Sales Manager, Robbie Young.  Most staff plumbed for the new XR Crossmax shoes, and everyone was hugely impressed by them throughout the walk from Ambleside, over Loughrigg Fell to Grasmere.  They offered great grip and support, with just the right balance of cushioning and stability for the rough, uneven trails we were walking on.

Another popular choice was the Salomon Comet 3D GTX, which proved ideal for the rough, but relatively easy terrain.  On the boggy trail the Goretex lined boot was a real bonus, and meant dry feet when we sat down in pub in Grasmere.  The Comet also offered really good ankle support for those who preferred a boot over a trail running shoe.

After a bite to eat, a beer, and an opportunity to compare notes on the shoes and boots we were trying in Grasmere, we returned along the well known Coffin Route back towards Ambleside.  When back at the shop everyone said how impressed they were with the new Salomon footwear and thanked Robbie for the opportunity to try it out, in action and in the outdoors.

Dylan, the 10 year old retriever who came with us, had a great time too, but was pretty pooped at the end of the walk.
