Well, just one more week to go until Christmas weekend. I bet most of you spent at least some of the weekend last minute Christmas shopping. So what do you do if you still haven’t got everything ad you are working all week? Well, one of the only options is to order online, but when can you do that until?
The cut-off point for our dispatch methods is on one of two days;
- If you are ordering a lower priced item (less than about £50) then that would be dispatched by Royal Mail 1st Class Parcel Post. This method has a cut off point of Tuesday 21st (that’s tomorrow!). You will therefore need to place your order today (Monday 20th) to give the Royal Mail enough time to get it to you.
If you would like to order something below £50 after that point, and get it to you before Christmas, then you will need to give us a call and pay an additional postage fee to get it sent by Special Delivery or courier.
- If you are ordering over £50 then your parcel will be dispatched by courier, and therefore can be sent any day up to Thursday – the order will need to be with us by Thursday morning at the very latest. The only exception to this is if you are ordering from the less urban areas of Scotland which can often take two days to arrive at it’s destination.
Obviously, these are just guides to the timescale, and we cannot guarantee any delivery with 100% certainty. The addition of the adverse weather conditions has meant that a lot of deliveries are taking longer to reach their destination at the moment. If in doubt then the most guaranteed method is to use Special Delivery, for this you will need to give is a call and upgrade your order manually. It will cost an extra £5 but is supposed to arrive pre 1pm the next day. The last postage day for this method is Thursday as well.
I know this can get a little confusing, but the rule of thumb is to order as soon as possible in order to give the courier/postal service the greatest chance of getting it to you.
