Ambleside Outdoor Festival, September 16th –19th 2010


This September Ambleside will be hosting one of the most exciting outdoor events in the country this summer.  This is the first year Ambleside Outdoor Festival has been held and it is shaping up to be a corker of an event with a multitude of outdoor orientated activities, races and events to get involved in. There will be a challenging road bike hill climb time trial up the infamous ‘Struggle’ to Kirkstone pass, an open water swim in Lake Windermere, fell running races around the local hills suitable for all all levels and abilities, guided bike rides, bushcraft and foraging demonstrations, a fell walkers foot clinic and a chance to have a go at rock climbing.  There’ll also be films, art and photography exhibitions, literature, lectures - the lot.  Its sure to be an amazing weekend.

The Climbers Shop are going to be heavily involved with this exciting project and our staff will be helping out and on hand to give expert advice throughout the festival.

So come along, bring the family and whatever your outdoor sport of choice you’ll be guaranteed a great time.
