A New Brand of Waterproofs

Keela International Ltd: Purist Outdoor Apparel

We’ve taken on a new brand in the shop this week. Keela are a long established Scottish company with a strong heritage in making excellent, value for money outdoor clothing.  From feedback from our customers it was clear we had very little in our range for the keen hill-walker on a budget or for those who didn’t necessarily want to spent £100 and £100’s on their waterproof gear.  We thought long and hard about what we could offer, but we didn’t want just a cheap and cheerful brand, of which they are many.

Keela have long supplied gear to mountain rescue teams, outdoor professionals, police and the armed forces and are known for their robust construction and great quality.  Although relatively low priced, Keela clothing consistently scores highly in magazine tests and in customer reviews.  They’ve even been awarded The Queens Award for Enterprise: Innovation for their System Dual Protection (SDP) technology.  Because of this we thought Keela would be a highly suitable brand for us; their gear offers a lot of bang for your bucks after all.

We are now offering 3 pieces of their lightweight waterproof clothing, all of which offer great ‘VFM’.  Their Stashaway jacket and trousers are uber light and pack very small, ideal for backpacking trips, taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme or as standby summer waterproofs.

The Odin Jacket is a slightly beefier, shorter cut multi activity jacket that’s perfect all sorts of outdoor adventures all year round.

So if you are looking for quality waterproof gear at the lower end of the price scale, then look no further.
