Well, being August Bank Holiday in the Lake district the weather forecast couldn't be more predictable really. It looks like another unsettled weekend, with a bit of everything thrown in.
The main feature of Saturdays weather will be the wind, with gusts on the fell tops of up to 50mph, enough for some serious buffeting if you are out walking. The good news is that any morning rain on Saturday is likley to clear through, with just one or two isolated showers around later in the day. Sunday is looking like being the most settled day, but there will still be periods of drizzly rain and low cloud to contend with. Winds will be lighter though.
Bank Holiday Monday is looking like being wetter, windier and warmer than the rest of the weekend. However, the outlook for Monday is a little uncertain at present, so things may change for the better. Fingers crossed
Temperatures won't be anything to write home about either, although Monday is likley to be the warmest day of the long weekend.
