Stable and neutral for efficient runners, this shoe omits thick cushioning in favor of its Impact Brake System, which features opposing, slanted lugs that deform to absorb shock and provide grip on steep terrain, going up or down. A dedicated trail runner can easily tackle short or middle distances runs wearing this shoe, whether the terrain calls for rolling, loamy single track or steep trails in deep in a wet forest.

The uppers are extremely snug fitting thanks to the double layer of heat adhesive “Skin-Grid” which provides a differentiated structure to the boot. Despite looking a little different to your average slings - these sewn cord slings from Edelrid offer something different from the usual dyneema webbing. For a start they are very strong (rated to 22kN) and much more abrasion resistant than dyneema. They are also far stiffer than dyneema webbing, making them great for poking through threads - particluarly one handed whilst on the lead!

Aramid fibers are a class of heat-resistant, super strong synthetic fibers. For this reason, they are often used in aerospace and military applications as well as for ballistic rated body armour fabric - so they are extremely tough!

Aramid is spun as a multifilament by a proprietary process developed by DuPont. Aramid fibres have good resistance to abrasion and organic solvents do not start to melt or burn until they reach 500°C. Kevlar, much used in body armour, is one example of an aramid.

This lightweight Edelrid 8mm confidence rope is designed for use on steep terrain to help nervous walkers or to keep children safe on exposed sections. Available in 30 and 40 metre lengths. The Confidence rope is ideal for scrambling, steep descents and exposed paths. Its not ideal for lowering, abseiling or belaying as the rope is static and a small diameter - it is designed for confidence situations only. Not suitable for MLT courses, climbing applications or glacier travel.
