A modern and innovative belay device thats ergonomic and easy to use. This belaying 'kit' also includes the Climbing tech Concept HMS biner which has a sprung bar retainer to keep the biner in the correct orientation when belaying. The round profile of the biner is suited perfectly for operation with the Click-Up
The Click-Up acts as a semi autonomous belay plate, that doesn't rely on any moving parts (unlike the GRIGRI and similar). Intended for use in sports climbing, the Click-Up locks down the rope in the event of a fall by the biner rapidly moving up through the centre guide channel. All that is required is for the belayer to have control the free (dead) rope end. Control for descending is even easier with only slight pressure needed to control the rope with total precision. This is a seriously clever little device that is sure to become a firm favourite among sports climbers.
The Click-Up is compatible with ropes from 9mm - 10.5mm
