The women's Hoka Bondi B's are deeply cushioned high mileage road shoes.  They effectively absorb most (upto 80%) of the impact forces associated with miles and miles of tarmac pounding.

Following the success of Hoka's Mafate Trail running shoe, they have now extended the range into road running shoes.  The Hoka Bondi B's use the same oversized midsole technology to deliver exceptional comfort and performance with every stride, but feature a less aggresive outsole than the Mafate's. The midsole has a wide profile with levels of cushioning and shock absorption not seen in any other performance shoe.  The foot is held in a 'bucket' in the middle of the sole for superb stability.  The Hoka's are also very, very light making every step a delight and this further reduces any stresses on the foot and lower leg.

The Hoka ethos is the antithesis of the Barefoot running craze currently gaining such popularity.  the Hoka's are equally gaining a very avid following, particularly with ultra distance athletes, due to their shock absorbing abilities over long, long periods.
