The Venture uses a combination of fabrics to provide reinforcement in key abrasion prone areas with maximum weight saving and breathability in other areas.  reflective flashes inprove night time safety.

This is a great value jacket. I couldnt find anything of this spec (3 layer eVent, reinforced for back pack carrying, large articulated hood) for anywhere near that price. Nice long body so your rear is covered and the hood is well large enough for a helmet and adjusts well. Pockets are large but you do have to put up with normal zip and storm flap rather than one of those new fangled waterproof zips for the main zip. My main concern before purchase was it looked a bit plain compared to some other jackets but there was no need to worry as the photos dont do it justice. I also thought it looked tapered at the waist, which I didnt want, but that doesnt seem the case, the stitching is just part of the design I guess.
