The Hilleberg Atlas Tent is the largest and most spacious tent in the Hilleberg range, the 6 person inner allows you to sleep 6 and then also have an area of porch space for cooking or storing gear.
Despite its size, the Atlas tent is both relatively lightweight as well as being very easy to pitch and is even free standing (although it's always best to peg it down, you wouldn't want to lose it!). Combining multiple lightweight poles and an exceptionally strong Kerlon SP outer tent fabric, the Atlas is the ideal base camp tent for large groups, and is perfect in exposed and extreme conditions. The dome design is excellent for absorbing the loading of snowpack thanks to its static strength.
This Hilleberg inner tent offers sleeping area for up to 6 adults and then allows you to have some porch space in the Hilleberg Atlas outer which you wouldn't get witht he more conventional 8 person inner. This means that you not only can sleep 6 people but you have some extra space for storing gear or cooking, which is especially useful when the weather gets bad and you cannot open the tent door.
