Stunning tent... totally dependable and comfortable ..well worth the cost, one hint... always tidy the guy lines before packing up ... can get tangled very easily

I needed a tent for cycle touring and after doing a bit of research Id narrowed it down to two brands: Terra Nova & Hilleberg, but after doing a bit more digging, the overall feeling I got was that Terra Nova usually came out on top if your main priority was low weight but if you wanted a tent that was lightweight but still shrug off a storm and would still outlive you then Hilleberg was the brand to go for.
I bought a Soulo based on its ability to be free standing and now that its had a bit of use Im really happy with my decision. It can be pitched in about 5 minutes (or less!) after a bit of practice and due to the free standing design can be pitched anywhere regardless of whether you can get pegs in to the ground or not and the weather has never been a problem once tucked up safely inside.
As the bike takes the weight and not me, I wasnt too fussed about a few extra grams compared to the lightest tent on the market so if youre after a bombproof tent for cycle touring that will last pretty much forever then you cant go far wrong with a Soulo!

Had a couple of trips now and very pleased with it, not the lightest one man but very durable and spacious with enough space for gear and cooking in the dry. Only warning is do peg it whilst erecting it as catches wind easily whilst walking around it fixing clips to the poles.

Great tent, very strong in high winds and certainly one of the best bets when the weather throws the worst at you. As usual, the only downside is the price but you get what you pay for.

Totally dependable in all weathers even on Scottish mountain in high winds. Spacious, comfortable and well made. Worth carrying the extra weight for these benefits.
