An excellent jacket, windproof and not too warm. Could possibly do with another inch longer sleeves to allow for scrambling but faultless for walking. Will replace a fleece as my winter mid layer.

Ive lived in this jacket for the last month! Works well as a warm layer under a hard shell. It works really well on its own as an outer layer as it is very windproof and seems reasonably water repellent. Ive used this in horizontal sleet (as an outer) and have stayed warm and dry. Working on a ski hill in Scotland it has been used in a wide range of conditions and has performed really well. Big wired hood (will go over large ski helmet, big pockets and is surpisingly warm for its weight. Id happily pay full price for one of these.

Great Jacket. I wanted an extra layer for hill days/lunch stops. It fits either over or under my gortex and has proved as versitile as I had hoped.

Ive had a Montane Superfly for a few years and its a great design, so was very keen on this when I saw it as I wanted a lightweight insulating layer that would also keep the wind out. As expected, its a great fit, has massive pockets, an excellent wired hood and is deceptively warm. I expect to get a lot of year round use out of this versatile jacket.

Bargain at this price!! Ultralight windproof insulation layer with decent DWR. Great for cold winter days. Will make a decent emergency warm layer round too. Surprisingly good wired hood too. Would pay full price for another, but the Red is pretty cool.
