Essentially the women's version of the outstanding men's Vega jacket - the Mountain Equipment Sigma is a lightweight, weather resistant down jacket designed specifically to meet the needs of women mountain activists.

The Sigma women's down jacket offers a low weight, low bulk insulating piece for mountaineers, climbers and backpackers. It packs impressive warmth for when temperatures plummet, yet won't weigh your pack down when you need to concentrate on the route ahead. The Drilite loft outer shell is also highly weather resistant

  • 200g (Size 12) of 93/7 Goose Down offering a 700+ fill power
  • Female specific Active Alpine Cut
  • Stitch through baffle construction
  • Grown on fully adjustable helmet compatible hood with Drilite® Loft lining
  • Two-way WR centre front zip with internal storm flap
  • Two zipped WR hand warmer pockets
  • Adjustable cuffs and hem with split tether draw cords

A brilliant little jacket. It has been worn and worn this winter and gets carried for sudden warmth even in better weather. Resists damp very well, though I suppose that wont last indefinitely. Still, a well-designed, well-made item - definitely not just a fashion item despite its good looks.

Im very pleased after purchasing this jacket. Wonderfully warm and water resistant. Ive never been cold or wet wearing it. Its really light so I dont notice it when I have to carry it, it also packs up well in to the small bag provided. Its also cut well and looks good with jeans down the pub as well as out on the fells!
