Built for backcountry travellers and mountaineers, the Black Diamond Deploy Shovel has a trapezoidal shape with a curved-shaft designed to to optimise the volume of the shovel and be lightweight and packable. Made from 6000 series aluminium, the whole shovel only weighs 565 grams and can be compressed from 62cm down to just 44cm. With a handle that locks into the shovel blade it is easily stored until needed.
