An ultra-compact trekking pole, the triple-sectioned Black Diamond Alpine Carbon Cork is also very, very light, thanks to its 100% carbon fibre shafts.

The natural cork grip provides great grip which doesn't get sweaty and greasey. It also absorbs shock and vibration better than most man-made alternatives.  There is also a foam contoured grip that extends down the shaft which helps when climbing very steep inclines.  The Carbon fibre used for the shafts provides an excellent dampening effect against shock, yet this doesn't compromise the rigidity of the pole unlike many anti-shock systems.

Double FlickLocks provide fast and easy adjustments, and a Long Flex Tip, with either the low-profile, non-snagging trekking or powder baskets, allows year-round snowshoe and hiking versatility.

Customer Product Reviews

I got these after losing the bottom section of one of my very temperamental Leki poles (I had maintained them properly but they still had a habit of not locking properly) and had heard that these were a bit less fiddly and less likely to have locking problems. It seems important to adjust the screws on the flicklocks correctly so that the are just tight enough. The poles are very light, the flicklocks are easy to operate with gloves on. Only used once but I am pleased with them so far. I like the foam grip below the cork grips - handy on slopes.
