Mountain Equipments lightest expedition hard shell for climbers and mountaineers. The Tupilak is close fitting and lightweight, with great freedom of movement - it is an exceptional mountaineering hard-shell.
Weighing around 450g the Tupilak won't weigh you down when in your pack, yet its 3 layer Proshell fabric will happily keep wild mountain weather out, whilst keeping you comfortable and condensation free. It is remarkably tough for its very low weight and can take the knocks and scrapes associated with alpine style mountaineering. Its tailored fit means that there is little excess material to flap around and get in your way, yet it is cut for maximum freedom of movement and won't ride up when your reaching for a hold. As with most climbing specific jackets, the Tupilak is shorter in the body so as not to interfere with a climbing harness. The features on the jacket have been pared down to the just the essentials - reducing weight and faff. The hood is Mountain Equipments award winning Stealth design, which seem almost part of your head when wearing it as it move so effectively and easily. The hood will easily take a climbing helmet.
