Took these as a light weight option instead of crampons on the walkers Haute Route between Zermatt & Chamonix in the Alps. Did the job getting over the snow on the high passes and across two Glaciers.

Wonderful! A bit pricey I thought but, they perform exactly as advertised - easy to put on and take off too. You can walk with absolute confidence on iced up paths - I have worn these on my last 3 hikes in snow and ice on the hills and done about 20 miles on them and not put a foot wrong. Perfect! 10/10

An absolutely necessity for packed ice if you want to avoid the breaks and sprains that accompany falls in such conditions. I would not have been able to function without them during the winter of 2009/10.

Bought these just before Xmas. Im not the greatest on slippery surfaces but wore them on Boxing Day for a 6 mile walk by the canal in Worsley, There was very hard/compacted ice and snow but I didnt slip at all and managed a pace around 5.5 kph. My husband just wore his grade 4 mountain boots and couldnt keep up!.Would recommend to all, especially as they can be worn over trail running shoes too.

These are a fantastic piece of kit. Brilliant for iced paths and gentle slopes with hard packed snow or ice and they are easy to pull on and off when required. No more blunting crampons walking on icey approach paths. Please note - these are not suitable as a replacement for crampons. I have also been using them for jogging in the snow and ice.

I would recommend these spikes as a great way to get around on icy pavements. They are easy to fit and give you the confidence to walk with ease and prevent you from slipping.

Bought these prior to the recent snow, and have used them to great effect on my recent walks. Easy to put on and remove, and do a great job on the compacted snow and ice. I was particularly impressed on how well the spikes dug in on ice. They made a tricky walk so much easier allowing me to walk confidently where others were slipping about.

If you are thinking about buying spikes, I would def recommend these!! they are pricey, but fantastic. easy to fit, easy to remove, comfortable when woren and makes you feel confident. i bought these not because i am climber, but because i broke my leg walking in the snow in feb 09, and i wanted some security walking in the snow so i dont fall again, and these def do the job.
