Following their success with the Revolver Wiregate, DMM have tweaked their original design and have added a locking gate. This makes the pulley/biner combo fully certified for use as as karabiner and pulley, perfect where complete safety and legislative compliance is a requirement. The Revolver also offers you options in terms of rigging hauling systems or improvising rescues making this carabiner a very versatile piece of kit.
The keylock nose means that ropes and gear don't snag or catch with the gate open.
In the Revolver karabiners, I-Beam technology is used, reducing weight and maintaining overall strength. This allows the innovative Revolver design to deal with the stresses involved in placing a pulley into a carabiner whist remaining light enough for general use
- The 7075 series pulley runs on a dry lube "IGUS" bearing, which is seated on a high tensile stainless sleeve and spindle. This will continue to rotate with loads up to 11Kn before any deformation occurs.In the unlikely event that the pulley does deform - and we have not seen one case yet - the biner still acts as a full strength (24Kn) carabiner.
- It has been anodised for protection against the elements especially coastal and rigouirous mountain enviroments.
- Lubrication:The 'IGUS' bearing will run without lubrication, however like all gates and barrels a periodic clean and oil will prolong the units life.
