Black Diamond have taken the design of the traditional ice axe and rejuvenated it, making the head more ergonomic and comfortable to hold, whilst also decreasing the overall weight.
The anodized shaft is built from lightweight, aircraft aluminum alloy for a high strength to weight ratio, whilst the one piece head is made of investment cast stainless steel for durability.
The Raven also features a dual density molded grip and a Slider leash.
