Montane Womens Terra Pant

Just got back from a weeks backpacking/climbing in the Highlands with these terra pants. They performed fantastically in all conditions. On the climb up the mountains when things got warm, I just opened the vents to cool off. When we got into the cloud layer and conditions cooled, I closed the vents to warm up again. They were warm enough at the top of the mountain in April, but youd need to wear either a base layer or go for the thermal option earlier in the year. The press studs at the ankle allow for adjustment for varying footwear. In a rain shower, I didnt need to reach for my waterproof, as the rain just beaded off the trousers. (Obviously theyre wind proof too.) I found that the terra pants are also light enough to keep as a spare in your pack. I found the fit to be really comfortable. Even though they are not elasticated at the seat or knees, the articulated knees meant I didnt find them restrictive at all when scrambling. And after a week of scuffing the terrapants knees and seat on rocks, they still look as good as new. After one day of climbing, to my shame on my way back to base I slipped and fell into a peat bog up to the top of my thighs. Not wanting to go back to camp caked in mud and as it was a nice day i walked through the nearest stream to wash off the mud. 3 miles later, my terra pants were bone dry! And I looked cleaner than everyone else Id been walking with!
