Excellent windproof, highly breathable, shower resistant, ultra light gossamer jacket; even has a basic hood, & full size OS map pocket.
I purchased for MTBiking, & it’s ideal. Not waterproof, but dries in no time.
For hiking I generally prefer full waterproof Montane Event Evolution, but I “run” too hot in Evolution for MTB above 8°c or so.
£65 for a jacket that scrunches up to fit the palm of your hand… Less is usually more £ in hiking & cycling… The windproof, & breathable qualities are excellent though. Mine was a bargain at a greatly reduced sale price. At full RRP it’s still probably best buy for my MTB needs, but I’d then bother to search reviews, etc, to be convinced before purchasing.

Bought primarily for bike commuting/touring to be worn in all but coldest and wettest weather. It is a really well designed jacket and a great colour and fit for bike as well as walking. I was aware before buying that this is a windproof but dont be fooled by the advertising - where you see weatherproof read youll get wet if it rains. Hood is a useful feature for the cold morning starts and tucks away nicely when not needed. I would have prefered if the stuff sack was integral with the jacket and the useful map pocket was mesh lined - all to save 20 grams. It does pack up small and ALWAYS goes along on commutes/tours/rides/walks. Although not resistant to rain it does dry quickly and I dont really feel uncomfortable for the shorter journeys I tend to do. If I was wearing my costly waterproof I would be just as wet from sweat, cycling at the rate I do. Even if it was set to rain heavy I would still take this jacket for when it dryed up a bit - its that useful and light.

An excellent piece of kit. The hood makes it superb. Great for fell running, hill walking and alpinism. It weighs virtually nothing and provides just the right amount of protection to be worn as a shell layer most of the time.
Forget softshell fleece type jackets. This is what you need, cheeper, lighter, more breathable.
Only thing is its not great for climbing chimneys without a rucksac as it would take a battering in this situation.
faultless service from the climbers shop.

Super jacket, super price & even better, super service. I originally selected the graphite colour, as this was shown on the website. I then received a phone call saying that they had no graphite jackets in my size, but they were prepared to let me have a red one, which werent reduced in price, at the sale price.
