It excels in variable conditons and fends off snow, sleet, spindrift, high winds and the odd rain shower with ease.  The hood fits a helmet and makes the jacket great for windswept belays. 

Polartec® Power Shield® lightweight is perhaps the best 'softshell' fabric available today, with excellent breathability and a 4 way stretch.  The athletic fit means minimum excess material to flap and annoy, whilst allowing full freedom of movement.  The chest pockets sit flat, yet can easily carry a topo, or spare gloves.  As with all things Arcteryx, the attention to detail is unsurpassed.
