With Pre-Order, you can purchase the latest items added to our store in advance of them arriving with us.
Your Pre-Order is prioritised (at no additional charge); meaning that as soon as the product arrives with us, we can wrap it straight back up; ready for collection via Click & Collect or despatch to you — it often never even hits the stock room shelves!
With Pre-Launch, the date when we expect to receive the product ourselves is still a little too hazy to be confident in accepting Pre-Orders.
So, instead, you can submit your email address against the item you are interested in and we will email you as soon as stock arrives on the system.
Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates are given on Pre-Order and Pre-Launch products. They are for indication purposes only and can change at any time without notice.
The dates we provide are based on indications given by our suppliers. Whenever we get updated information from our suppliers we will endeavour to update the Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates provided on product pages.

A gentler, shorter alternative to the Coast to Coast Path, the Hadrians Wall Path is a 84-mile National Trail from Bowness on Solway to Wallsend, near Newcastle, following the route of the old roman wall. This 2016 Edition by Mark Richards contains a wealth of information on the history of the Wall, and a range of practical information for walkers, from accommodation and itinerary planning, to details on public transport and refreshments. Clear step-by-step route descriptions are accompanied by 1:100,000 OS map extracts. A compact booklet showing the route on a 1:25,000 scale OS map is included for added convenience.
The route is suitable for beginners, although a reasonable level of fitness is required if doing it as a multi-day trek. The route is described both west to east and east to west, and the guidebook also features extensions to Maryport on the far west coast of Cumbria and to South Shields on the east coast.
Seasons Year-round walking, although the useful bus service only operates during the summer months. Centres Bowness-on-Solway, Carlisle, Haltwhistle, Chollerford, Corbridge and Newcastle all make good centres. Difficulty Easy walking. But adequate fitness for a multi-day trek is required for the entire length. Must See The central section of Housesteads and Vindolanda between Chollerford and Haltwistle.
