The Patagonia Fitzroy Down Parka is an expedition grade down insulated jacket designed for severe cold conditions. It also has 100% traceable down, give you the reassurance that all the down has been sourced ethically and sustainably. This serious parka is perfect for high mountain belays, winter wild camps and cold weather backpacking.
The Fitz Roy Down Parka features high loft, fully baffled construction and 800 (US) fill-power, giving it an amazing warmth to weight ratio. It also is a little longer cut (with a droptail hem) and enhanced water resistance in the hood, arms and shoulders, thanks to a special high-sheen fabric construction.
The helmet-compatible, single-pull hood has an internal heat-locking high-loft chamber on the back of the neck, and internal draft tubes eliminate cold spots along the two-way center-front zipper. There are three exterior zippered pockets (two high handwarmers and an exterior left chest), and one large, internal drop-in pocket for warming frozen gloves. Soft, low profile, internal elastic-bound cuffs push-up easily, and the included stuff sack has a built-in clip-in loop.
