  • Mountaineering Boots - Men's - La Sportiva Trango S Evo

The Trango S is light is perfect for modern alpinism.  They're light, responsive and comfortable. with a stiffened midsole and climbing outsole.  Perfectly at home on rock, they have developed a loyal following among Via Ferrata specialists and alpine climbers.

Lightweight is this boot's main characteristic, achieved by using of innovative, performance materials such as Cordura and Lorica. A Gore tex lining keeps snow, ice, water and mud at bay, whilst the full rubber rand helps protect the boots from mountain abuse and also aids friction on rock. The lacing system is derived from climbing shoe technology, and features a lace lock that allows double tension. The ankle cuff has a multidirectional “3D Flex System” ankle hinge that allows for climbing agility, yet is still supportive.

The Trango S Evo can take a semi rigid (C1/C2) crampon with a heel binding.

    • La Sportiva Trango S Evo Review

      By Ian Coulton on 5
Brought a pair of these boots from the Climbers shop for recent trip to the lakes. Wore them straight out of the box with no problems. During the week they covered a total of 44 miles, which included a walk from Grasmere to the Langdale Pikes and back via Blea Rigg, Sgt Man, High Raise, Thunacar Knott and finally the Langdale Pikes. At all times the boots were comfortable and fitted perfectly. A few days later they were worn to climb the Old Man of Coniston, again no problems. I would definitely recommend these boots and the Climbers Shop.
