About Black Diamond Super 8 Fast and easy loading, this classic belay/abseil device uses a unique design that eliminates excess material by thinning out the non-rope bearing areas. The Super 8 has a smooth-wearing soft-anodized surface and works best with double 8.1 mm ropes up to single 11 mm cords. As with all figure of 8 designs the Super 8 dissapates heat quickly.
For belaying, use the small hole for any size rope up to 11 millimeters. The Super 8 is perfect for climbs involving multiple abseils.
